Job Post: Social Media and Influencer Marketing Manager

Fire and Ash is an independent book publisher based in Toronto and Paris, specializing in fiction and poetry. We have a taste for the eccentric and the playful, the entertaining and the speculative.

We are hiring a Social Media and Influencer Marketing Manager to advance a social media marketing strategy and source relevant book influencers to help contribute to our company’s growth.

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Develop a marketing strategy for our social media

• Work with relevant book influencers to organically grow Fire and Ash’s sales and social following

• Develop content and accompanying graphics to increase community engagement online

• Create a brand persona through the brand’s online channels

• Utilize the social channels most relevant to the brand on a daily basis

• Respond to customer queries through social networks

• Create successful social media ad campaigns that will generate sales/leads

• Work together with Fire and Ash staff to create compelling content for publication or campaigns

• Manage our blog posts and develop content for posts.

• Create healthy back-links for SEO Optimization

Required skills and qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills 

• Advanced knowledge of social channels relevant to the company’s success (Instagram, Tik Tok, Bluesky, X, Facebook).

• Excellent interviewing skills 

• Flexibility; Ability to work on tight deadlines 

• Strong understanding of social media metrics and analytics

• Graphic design fundamentals for social media (Canva)

• Advanced knowledge of and experience with social media advertising platforms

• Experience sourcing, hiring, and collaborating with influencers

Working conditions:

Join a small, collaborative team at our Clarence Square office in Toronto. Remote work may be possible for candidates not based in Toronto. 

Physical requirements: 

No specific physical working conditions required – some lifting and transporting of product
